steamers monthly wine tasting

Sunday August 31 - "Black" & White
Make plans at Steamers Steakhouse the last Sunday of each month and enjoy a special pre-dinner wine tasting from 5 - 6pm. Up for August are five tempting Ontario wines: three white chardonnays, and two reds -- a gamay noir and a pinot noir -- made from grapes of such an intense purple that the French classify them as black. While there is sure to be some grey area selecting your favourite, you'll find there is no better way to start off your evening than by pairing one of these wines with our summer menu.

August - Listening to Landscape

August's exhibit features landscapes by Paul Forde, a local painter based in Barrie. In his eyes, landscape is transitory and expressive, speaking to us in the moment with intent and desire. He uses the frozen second iin time that a camera is able to capture as his inspiration, and then goes to work in his studio to create his paintings. Careful attention to light and form, as well as superb composition are hallmarks of his style.

For more about these artists, visit www.eclipseartgallery.ca or CALL Karin Lakatos at (705) 783-2579
