Mendelson Joe Art Exhibit

The Outside Looking In exhibition will be on display at the Eclipse Gallery from September 23 to October 3, 2026, with a special opening reception on September 25 from 5–7 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy MJ’s music and meet his longtime partner, Karen Robinson.

The late Mendelson Joe began his painting career in 1975 as a compelling extension of his musical work. His art offers a powerful exploration of the world around him, celebrating both the beauty of human existence and the majesty of nature. Throughout his career, Joe explored a range of themes within so-called “outsider art,” including expressive landscapes, intimate and poignant portraiture, and bold political and social commentary.
