Discover the joys of Maple Syrup right here in Muskoka at Deerhurst Resort’s own sugar shack.

Each spring since 1993, approximately 2000 maple taps provide about 60,000 litres of sap, which is gravity-fed down sap lines from the highlands area of Deerhurst Resort.  The sap is pumped up to our sugar shack located behind Antler Steakhouse, then reduced to make approximately 1,500 – 2000 litres of pure maple syrup that we then use to prepare our maple-themed recipes and of course our morning breakfast pancakes and waffles…yum! The syrup is also available for sale at the sugar shack, when open, or at the Deerhurst General Store.
