3RD Annual Orange Shirt Day March and Gathering

The Huntsville Public Library would like to invite you to the 3rd annual Orange Shirt Day March and Gathering.This event is coordinated each year in partnership with Hope Arises Project Inc. and The Town of Huntsville.
The Special guest speaker this year is Jan Beaver. Jan is an author, storyteller and educator and a proud recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in recognition of her educational work. She is a member of the Alderville First Nation (Anishinaabe). She has dedicated most of her life to learning and teaching others about the history, traditions and cultures of First Nation peoples.
The Chippewa Travellers Drumming Group will also be here in honour of Orange Shirt Day and Truth and Reconciliation.
This is a family-friendly event, and all are welcome.
The Campfire Sessions
September & October | 7:00PM – 9:00PM
Imagine sitting by a roaring fire, feeling the soft sand or cool grass beneath your feet, and being serenaded by talented musicians. That’s exactly what you’ll enjoy during this summer-long event, happening every Friday and Saturday night through to Thanksgiving Weekend. Guaranteed to delight all ages.
