Celebrate Canada, Muskoka-Style

June 26th – July 5th, 2026

Canada Day is just one day. We made it nine! From June 26 to July 5, Deerhurst turns Canada Day week into a full summer kickoff celebration – nine themed days on Peninsula Lake built around the best of Muskoka. Enjoy a morning paddle, watch a drone light show over the water, take part in our signature Cake in the Lake, and raise a glass to Canada’s 159th on the best patio in cottage country. While we welcome summertime guests for this special weekend, we acknowledge that our history began long before the first designated Canada Day. As we enjoy the Muskoka fresh air, lakeside relaxation and sunshine, we at Deerhurst Resort would like to respectfully acknowledge that we are on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, specifically the Chippewa, Ojibwa and Potawatomi peoples, under the terms of the Robinson-Huron Treaty #61 of 1850, and the Williams Treaties of 1923. We are grateful to be here. We hope you are too. To read our land acknowledgement in its entirety, please see here.

Deer Scout Series – Adventure Awaits! Kids can explore Muskoka like never before with the Deer Scout Series, a fun-filled activity program included in your stay! Each child receives a Deer Scout Guide and lanyard to track their adventures—from scavenger hunts to look & listen nature hikes and the iconic Muskoka Chair photo. Complete five activities, hand in your guide, and claim your prize!
